The Neue Energien Forum (NEF) gives visitors an exciting insight into how climate-friendly energy is generated in the Fläming region – right there where it is produced. Since 2010, the village of Feldheim has been supplied 100% with electricity and heat from renewable energy sources. At our visitor centre you can climb inside the decommissioned nacelle of a wind turbine, learn about the technology used to operate it, and hear the story of how the village became energy self-sufficient. Guided tours and school project days take you behind doors that elsewhere remain closed and allow you to see the technology in operation. Alternatively, you can explore Feldheim on your own on an “Energy Tour”, stopping off at the various stations to listen to how renewable energies are used.
