The hexagonal building has been an important part of the Swiss Museum of Transport since 1979. The presentation of the collection documents the work and craftsmanship of the artist Hans Erni (1909-2015). It provides a view of a unique work and life that dealt with dedication with contemporary, cultural, technical and ecological themes. Temporary exhibitions that also include works by other artists place Erni's work in context. The museum with its auditorium is also a popular venue for events, and the sculpture garden invites visitors to linger.
